In 2nd and 3rd form, most pupils study French and Spanish. The French course follows Tricolore Total 2 and 3 (there is also a 2nd form Beginners group for those arriving at Loretto having done no French). Spanish follows a new coursebook for beginners, Mira. At this level, the aim is confidence in grammar and vocabulary, and developing a willingness to use the language as much as possible in class.
