Loretto is one of Scotland's leading independent schools specializing in providing a high quality all-round education in a boarding environment for boys and girls.

If you were to ask a Loretto parent why they chose us for their child, they would tell you that pupils here seem particularly happy and balanced, because of the high quality of pastoral care, and because we succeed in combining academic excellence with an outstanding range of opportunities beyond the classroom. Academic work is at the centre but the broad curriculum and vibrant art and sporting calendars provide an all-round education. Teachers and House staff know each boy and girl, each boarder and day pupil, individually.

If there is one aspect of the School which I would like you to take away with you, it is that Loretto is a place imbued with a sense of decency but which encourages self-discipline and a rigorous approach to learning of every kind. It gives a lot to the boys and girls and simply asks in return that they give of their best.
