Loretto School
There are just over 540 boys and girls at Loretto aged 3 to 18 years.
The School is made up of two parts - the Junior School (which is known as 'The Nippers') for children aged 3-12 (Headmaster, Philip Meadows) and the Senior School for those aged 12 and over (Headmaster Peter Hogan).
The Junior School has around 200 pupils and has its own separate campus based 5 minutes from the Senior School at North Esk Lodge. Children can attend as day pupils and boarding is offered from 8 years.
The Senior School has about 340 pupils, of whom around 150 are in the Sixth Form. About 70% of the Senior School board.
The School is not highly selective and it follows the English examination system leading to GCSEs and A levels. Further information on this may be found in the Academic Curriculum section.
