Entrance and Literature

Loretto is made up of two schools:
Junior School, (known as The Nippers), 3-12 years
Senior School, 12-18 years

Girls and boys can be day pupils, full and flexi-boarders. Approximatly 70% of the pupils in the Senior School board. Weekly boarding is available in the Junior School only.

The entrance criteria is the School's own entrance assessments, scholarship exams or Common Entrance exams.

Main entry ages are all years in the Junior School and at 12, 13, 14, and 16 years of age in the Senior School.

Loretto strives to welcome as many pupils as possible from all walks of life irrespective of their parents' financial circumstances. A number of means-tested bursaries and scholarships are available to help families with the school fees.

The best way to find out about the School is to arrange a visit by contacting the Admissions Department. We can organise a personal visit or you can attend a School Open Morning. At no stage during your enquiry is there any obligation for you to continue with your enquiry should you decide not to.

You can request a brochure and literature about the School either by contacting the Admissions Department direct or by completing and submitting the electronic enquiry form to order a prospectus pack. This will be posted to you. Once we have received your full details, you will be added to our mailing list and you will receive regular information about the School.
