Loretto School Simmers and U11 Golf Championship

This year's Simmers and U11 Golf Championship was held in perfect sunny conditions at Haddington Golf Club. The schools participating this year were: Ardvreck, Belhaven Hill, Cargilfield, East Linton PS, Fettes Prep School, Gullane PS, Law PS, Newcastle School for Boys and St. Leonards. Thirty boys and girls set off to the first tee to battle it out for the Simmers Cup. Some very impressive scores were notched up and the overall standard of play was high. St. Leonard's came out on top with wins in both the individual and team competition. There was a field of 15 in the U11's over a slightly shortened course. The winner for the second year running was from Law Primary School.

Loretto's association with the SGU continues to grow and we are now in the fourth year as the official sponsor of the SGU Scottish Boys & Girls Under 14 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship.
