Highland Dancing was established at Loretto School 3 years ago and has grown from one weekly class of four girls to two classes a week of 24 girls. The girls study Highland and Scottish National technique in their classes and are prepared for BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) examinations. They are also registered with the SOBHD (Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing) and compete in SOBHD competitions.
All of the above is on top of performing regularly with the Pipe Band for their school at Open Days, Sporting Events and CCF events.
