JUNIOR SCHOOL

Loretto Junior School, affectionately known as the 'Nippers' is a small and friendly, junior independent school and we see ourselves as a large extended family.

Its East Lothian location combines the virtues of a country school with the benefits of being close to Edinburgh and Musselburgh. The Senior School campus is 5 minutes walk.

This junior private school currently has about 200 boys and girls aged 3 to 12 years. It is made up of two parts, the Early Years (3 - 7 years) which includes a Nursery, and the Nippers (8 - 12 years).

We offer an outstanding all round education to children of mixed ability.

JUNIOR SCHOOL

This Prep School with a Pre-Prep and Nursery on the outskirts of Edinburgh in Scotland is affectionately known as the 'Nippers'. It is a small, friendly, junior indepdendent school and we see ourselves as a large extended family.

This junior private school is predominately a co-ed day school of about 200 boys and girls aged 3 to 12 years. Boarding is offered from the age of 8 years to UK and international boarders.

Loretto Junior School offers an outstanding all-round education to children of mixed ability.

In writing this term Year 5 has been writing about mythical creatures. We have each invented our own mythical creature to use in our own myths. There is a variety of different creatures. First we made a fact file of our own mythical creature and explained what they looked like, where they lived and what their behaviour was like. Then we wrote the first two paragraphs, the character description and the setting. We are currently writing the main part of our stories.
