Loretto Junior School win Prep Schools Songfest

Over 220 pupils took part in Loretto's Prep Schools Songfest this week to a packed audience in the Chapel and Theatre. Cargilfield won the hymn section with 'For the Beauty of the Earth' and the Compass School the solo with 'The Blue Bells of Scotland'. The Theatre ensemble section was won by Loretto Junior School with their Sound of Music Medley and the overall winner was Loretto Junior School.
Other schools taking part were Belhaven Hill, and Fettes Prep. This event is one of the highlights in the school calendar and as ever the standard of music from all the schools was outstanding. Many thanks to all the staff and pupils who took part and a special thank you to our adjudicator, Mr John Wright, DOM from Ripon Cathedral School.
