Here is an outline of the normal week for a Day Pupil at Loretto.
WEEKDAYS
- Pupils arrive between 8.00am and 8.20am. They are dropped off at the Milhill Gate (opposite the race course). The school buses drop off at about 8.10am.
- Into SH to collect books etc. and then off to registration with tutor.
- Lessons etc. up to lunchtime.
- Lunch in the dining room and then some free time in SH or outside for some fresh air.
- More lessons or games and then back to SH for a snack at 3.40pm.
- Activities and prep as selected followed by tea at 6.00pm. Depending on activity or prep selections different pupils may have different home times.
- By 6.30pm all pupils will have left for home. The school buses pick up from the Milhill Gate at 6.30pm.
SATURDAY
- Pupils arrive between 8.00am and 8.20am.
- Normal morning routine with registration and 5 lessons.
- Lunch at 12.20pm.
- Games and/or sporting fixtures then take place. Games session would usually end at 3.00pm and fixtures end at various times depending on the start time and venue. This information would be available in the diary, the Enews and from the SH office.
- Pupils are free to go home afterwards.
- SH closes at 5.00pm on a Saturday.
SUNDAY
- There are occasional chapel services on a Sunday (first Sunday of a term - Remembrance Sunday - etc.) and all pupils are expected to attend in their kilts. If a pupil is unable to attend, they should contact Mr Bidgood (Deputy Head) for a Special Leave Form. nbidgood@loretto.com
- Sevices usually start at 10.30am and last c.45minutes. Parents and family are welcome to attend. There is normally coffee in SH beforehand for parents at 10.00am. A tick-in for pupils also takes place at this time.
