Tutoring is a vital and integral part of Schoolhouse life. All pupils are assigned a tutor with whom they meet every morning at registration. At this meeting pupils are registered, notices are announced and any other relevant topics are covered. Tutors will monitor each of their tutees academic and general welfare. This will include regular 1:1 meetings between the tutor and the tutee and the tutor contacting the tutee's parents to give updates and feedback. Tutors also co-ordinate the regular assessments and reports, as well as helping and guiding with activity/ prep selections.
Second form pupils are tutored by 4 specialised tutors who work with these pupils for their first year at the Senior School. Pupils in years three to five are in mixed year tutor groups and stay with their allocated tutor throughout this time. When pupils enter the sixth form they are tutored by a different tutor who specialises in the specific needs of these year groups.
